For the Van Laere company, SMO had to assemble and weld 262 piles of length 31m for the construction of a quay wall in the port of Antwerp.

All work had to be carried out on the site with a team of 5 certified welders. For this purpose, a temporary workshop was built in the open air. As the weather was not allowed to have an impact on the continuity of the works, load tents (on rails) with extraction and lighting were provided.

A set-up was provided so that it was possible to work constantly on 4 posts. The posts were in a turning angle so that they could easily be manipulated.
