The Customer

A manufacturer of flexible hoses, looking to apply labels.

The Challenge

Printed labels should be wrapped around flexible hoses. Hoses vary widely in diameter - from 9 mm to 32 mm. Winding must be fast without the need for resetting for each diameter.

The solution

SMO developed the Flexi wrapper: a compact machine that wraps labels around flexible hoses. The device processes hoses from DN06 (9 mm) to DN25 (32 mm) without further adjustments. The capacity is around 800 labels per hour.
