Come and visit our brand-new premises in Eeklo and see for yourself how we build bespoke machinery and automation systems — from installations featuring dozens of robots to applications you won’t find anywhere else.

What can you expect?
Our engineers and technicians are on hand all day to show you what they’re working on. Here are a few things you definitely shouldn’t miss:
- A vehicle sawn in half live on air — see in real time how our portal saws to set to work
- At fixed times: 11.00 – 12.30 – 15.00 – 16.30
- A system comprising 22 robots can be seen under construction
- Our Pick & Skewer who makes her own kebabs — automation you can taste straight away
- A system that looks after plants — technology with a green edge
And that’s just the start: you can expect plenty more technology and interactive features dotted throughout the building
For young and old
The SMO Open Day is a day out for the whole family. Whilst you take a look behind the scenes of mechanical engineering, there’s also entertainment organised for the children. Feel free to pop in with your partner, children, friends or colleagues — there’s something for everyone to see. You certainly won’t go hungry here: chips are on offer, as are kebabs produced using our technology at one of our customers’ sites.

Behind the doors of our premises in Eeklo, you’ll find not one, but four specialist teams under one roof: SMO (custom machine construction), FleXiever (screening solutions), PINTRO and WIWAM. During Open Business Day, you’ll get to know the whole group in a single visit.
