Control over quality

When you are building a machine that does not yet exist, dependence on external suppliers is a risk. Waiting for a spare part or an error in a supplied frame can bring an entire project to a halt.

At SMO, we therefore have the entire production chain in-house. From drawing board to test room, without the project leaving our gates. This gives us control over planning, quality and safety.

Our engineers are literally one floor above the production hall. They draw out the mechanics, design the electrical diagrams and write the software. Because the distance from the shop floor is minimal, fabricators provide immediate feedback in case of design errors or practical optimisations.

This makes us not only faster, but more importantly more reliable: fewer dependencies, less transfer loss, more grip on the end result.
